Quality Inn & Suites Escanaba North

The hotel was a characterful base for enjoying a very nice area, really close to the restaurant and breakfast and Escanaba in over 10 years and Michigan's. The room was pet-friendly with comfortable beds and the staff was attentive. The location was easy as for me.

We heard a lot of noise from the corridor late at night from some other guests who were quite noisy.

I enjoyed the quiet hallways and beautiful entry patio.

I didn't enjoy that the maids left all utilitie doors open. I know that this all occurs behind the scenes, but being able to see it took away some of the sparkle. Also, the hotel said it offered a sauna which was no where to be found.

Should have recliner instead of very poor chair.

Couple's Weekend Escape

This place had a nice lounge with a solid restaurant and bar. The indoor pool was great for kicking back after a long day.

It wasn't cheap but still acceptable for what I needed.

The overall quality of the place was as expected for the price. It is not top modern high class place, but well suited for the purpose, very friendly stuff, nice clean common space and room.

The wifi was a bit slow. The room at first felt a bit gloomy with set of old style furniture and heavy curtains. Though we didn`t complain much about it. We have founded all stuff in good quality and overall feeling when we were living was very positive. The room was very clean and the bed very comfy. Highly recommend!

Room was large and the bathroom huge

Breakfast sausages and eggs seemed cheap .

The room showed signs of wear, with wallpaper peeling in several spots and stains in the bathroom area. Unfortunately, the refrigerator wasn't cleaned from previous guests, which put a bit of a damper on the stay. There were also issues with the heating unit. It was excessively loud. Lastly, while the overall cleanliness could use attention, it wasn't enough to was great.

At first glance the front lobby was very classy. The receptionists (especially Ally) were very friendly and helpful, esp.. with advising of an excellent place for supper. The room was clean and bed was comfortable, but the dark green countertop in the bathroom could be updated. The breakfast was a step above, esp. the eggs with cheese and the corned beef hash.

The motel was clean, the breakfast was good and the lobby has obviously been remodeled.

It was painfully obvious that the hotel was old and once you got past the glitter of the remodeled lobby, the rooms were a disappointment. Grey prison like doors that were noisy, cheap fixtures, cheap and stained carpeting and light fixtures in the hallway that were purposely unlit, again creating a jailhouse atmosphere.

I found the location convenient, just off the main highway. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast had some fresh options like scrambled eggs and good coffee. The outdoor areas were inviting, with plenty of shaded spots to relax. There were several issues. The window in our room was broken and couldn't close, concerning with cooler temperatures. The shower wasn't clean. I noticed it hadn't been properly maintained. Garbage was left in the hallway, indicating a lack of attention to detail. Some repairs are desperately needed to enhance the overall stay. It's a solid place, but it could be so much better with a bit more care and upkeep.
